Colorful Bird, size 14"  X 17"" by Irena Bluhm

The main design was stitched on a computerized system by Linda Robinson, the background filler, coloring and binding was done by Irena Bluhm.

The color was applied after all quilting was complete using colored pencils. The color was fixed with textile medium.

This pattern is available in all formats for computerized systems and in PDF format for printing. You can print and transfer the design to your quilt top using a light box and washable blue marking pen MarkBGone.

    This technique is so easy, it is difficult to explain! That's why I am always amazed by how many people don't have the courage to try it on their own. As soon as they see a demo in a class, they sit down and perform! I have actually learned a lot about the color use from my students who have never tried this before! Irena

    This is a beautiful design. I guess I'm to stubborn about "doing it all by myself" to buy the pattern, though. I do appreciate learning the coloring techniques to do my own. Thanks, Irena! See you at QwM!
