This quilt would win BOS in the 'Ugliest quilt' category

These two quilts were just a few out of many that I have created during the learning period. I don't think it was one of my very first ones either. It doesn't matter.

The photograph above was taken on November 28th 2004, just a little over two weeks after my longarm delivery and the picture below was taken on December 6th 2005 obviously, but there is a chance that the other photograph was done few days later after the piece was finished.

Let's take a look at that 'beauty'!

It is a nameless quilt, as it was used to practice. I used two stencils I purchased along with my longarm quilting machine. They could of been either by Hari Walner, or Keryn Emmerson. It's hard to recall, as that was the only time I have used them.

I have never purchased another pattern again, as I was trying so hard to start beating my own path from very begining. At this point I had no clue about whether I would be able to, as you can tell by taking a close look at this piece.

What I tried to do here was one of my very early attempts to create a whole cloth quilt while having no clue about where to start, what's right, what's wrong etc.

I was so proud of being able to stich the circles, though. I remember that!

Joy, As you can tell, perfection is a hard thing to achieve. Our quilting will get better with time, as total perfection can be out out of reach for most of us including myself. Irena

Irena! I love that you showed those. I thought you were off and running from the very start with perfection. Can't wait to see what else you have here in your blog. Hugs, Joy
