We did make some progress, as you can see in these pictures. It is easier to draw with colors, but for a learning the basics and aquiring some experience in doing art, it is great to use black on white. Once you can draw monochromatic pictures using grey scale shading and create 3-D effects, you will be ready to start using color palette.
